Life at St. John's

St. John's circle of Sunday worship extends over the week through other groups that meet regularly for fellowship, outreach, prayer, support, study and fun. Here are a few of the circles we enjoy. Join a group to connect with other members of our community!

Book Club

St. John's Book Club includes book lovers who have stimulating and fun conversations about books they have all read. Title selections vary, from Christian topics to popular and literary fiction to relevant non-fiction titles. Meetings are usually held at 7 PM on the 3rd Monday of each month at Eagle Eye Books.

You can see the 2024-2025 book list, schedule, and order titles from Eagle Eye here.

Young Adults

Our young adults (of no set age limit!) often brunch together after worship, and join together in fellowship on sporadic occasions. To get in touch, just come say hello at church or look for us on Facebook.

Women's Group

The women of St. John's, both visitors and members, gather on a regular basis for a meal or activity to connect with and support one another.  The group gathers regularly for fellowship and makes a retreat once a year for a "Wild Women's Weekend."

Many members of St. John’s also participate in WELCA, the Women of the ELCA. As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the members of WELCA commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world. Learn more about WELCA here.
