Wedding inquires please call the church office at (404) 378-4243 or email Pr. Jennifer Roberts.

The historic beauty of the mansion in Druid Hills creates a gorgeous backdrop for the occasion of a wedding. Whether a small, intimate wedding or a large, multi-day event, we are ready to host you here at St. John's.

At St. John’s Lutheran Church, we extend our love and support as you plan for your wedding day and future together. As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we see a wedding service as an opportunity to celebrate God’s gift of love. Therefore, all weddings conducted at St. John’s Lutheran Church will be done in accordance with our theology.

Our pastor and wedding guild are ready to assist you and want to make your wedding exactly as you want it to be. Many of your questions about utilizing St. John’s can be answered below, but if you have additional questions, please email our pastor.

  • Pre-wedding counseling is required to be married at St. John's.

The process begins with a personal meeting with the pastor. Couples will attend the premarital program which includes a three one-hour sessions.

We utilize the Prepare-Enrich program that is customized to identify strengths, growth areas, and skill-building exercises to help couples develop a deeper understanding of one another. A few topics that we will explore include communication, intimacy, marriage roles and expectations, and couple/family maps.

After the marriage counseling is completed, a final meeting is held with the pastor to finalize the details of the marriage service.

Couples being married by clergy not on our staff are highly encouraged to utilize this program. If they choose to use their own pastor, they must complete at least three hours of premarital counseling and provide a letter of completion to St. John's pastor.

  • St. John's highly values music and the way it enhances a service.

Our organist and musician, Rolando Salazar, will be happy to assist you in making musical decisions. A schedule of fees for his service is listed below.

If you choose to utilize an outside musician, they will need to attend the final consultation meeting with our pastor to review all the details of the service.
